These two exercises are challenging, especially scissor jump. They are both fast movements and need coordination skills. You can do them anywhere you have space. Scissor jump is a high-impact exercise and you will feel it especially on the joints of the hips.
Step back and Scissor jump are two high energetic exercises. They require a lot of energy because you have to alternate movements, which require attention and energy. The body burns many calories when you give power to the exercises. If you do them regularly, you can increase your stamina and endurance.
These two exercises have a significant impact on your subtle energy system. The energetic body gets charged up with fast movements, and you will feel this energy immediately. They are also great for solar plexus chakra activation because they work energetically in the upper stomach area. They have a tremendous impact on your personality! After some time, you will feel ready to go and assertive in many ways.
Best ways to do
In a Beginner Circuit: Alternate 10-30 seconds of Step back with Scissor jump for 5-10 circuits. Gradually work up to longer sessions.
In a Cardio Circuit: Alternate 30-60 seconds of Step back and Scissor jump with other cardio exercises such as Boxing, Arms cross, Side kick, and Arm press.
In a Cardio/Strength Circuit: Alternate 30-60 seconds of these two exercises with strength exercises, such as Plank pull-ups, Air crunch, Sit-ups, Waist toner, Legs pull up, and Alternate leg lift.
1. Step back
With your feet hipwide apart and your hands on your hips, alternately step back with one foot whilst pulling the arm on the same side forward and up. Feel the energy flow through your core. Breathe actively.

- Keep your core strong
- Push the leg back
2. Scissor jump
With one leg in front and the other leg 2 feet back, start scissor jumping on the spot with your arms moving in tune. Feel the energy flow through your core. Breathe actively.
- Keep shoulders down
- Move your arms
- Keep your back straight
- Change legs while jumping
